This is handcrafted from a stunning piece of burr Oak wood. I’ve shaped a relatively small portion of it to give the impression it might have been a shield in days of old. The piece has a mixture of rainbow waxes and chameleon powder embellishments coated with a finish of lacquer for durability. I created this piece primarily as wall art but it has been out to a couple of markets on a stand and has attracted positive reviews and on consideration I think it may work better on a stand (but ultimately the choice is yours), It comes with a wall hanging fixing attached. It’s 300mm wide x 55mm thick.
